<<greatest beneficiary of this recent development just might be the U.S as now India can play a greater strategic role in the region as a counter balance to the rising Chinese power. >> It is a well known fact among the informed that Chinese nuclear missiles are targeted to New York , Washington DC and other major cities in US. Then why are We (Americans) complaining about India trying to contain the Chinese with their nuclear deterrent. America needs a friend in South Asia. JPR
