I seem to recall hearing CNBC mention Asia as a major part of HP's current problems. With some 70% (I think) of Dells business in the U.S., Asia would not impact as severely on Dell's bottom line.

BTW, I think the quote of Dell trading down 1/4 point in after hours was before the HP announcement.
