The only ones sillier than the original purchasers of Packard Bell computer (I am talking about ones made over 7 years ago though I bot and never had any issues with a fine 486 33mhz), is the people that say they are terrible and have no idea what the heck they are talking about..

For the record, why did your friend regret purchasing his Pack Bell?? 90% of people can't give any type of intelligent answer. The other 10% are just plain using wrong assumptions.

Compaq makes quality stuff, but they do cut corners to consistently hit the buzz specs and be the low cost box......
