From MacCentral Major USB distributor sees iMac potential, commits support by Ben Wilson bwilson@maccentral.com
Providing a major boost to the expandability options available for Apple's upcoming iMac consumer system, USB Stuff, one of the largest world-wide distributors of USB peripherals, parts and accessories, has exclaimed excitement over Apple's new consumer system, and plans to roll-out products for the iMac.
When we asked Ed Karns, of USB Stuff, if they would be supporting the iMac, his response was "No question. We will support it." He went on to add "I've been a Mac fan since 1984." Karns also says he thinks there is great potential in the new Mac.
Karns noted that the development of device drivers for the Mac OS was coming along smoothly, and things should start appearing around the time Apple's iMac is released in August.
This level of support from a major distributor of USB products guarantees many options for buyers of the iMac, and Apple's decision to adopt the blossoming standard holds great promise for the future of peripherals on the Macintosh.
