This week's New England Journal of Medicine (May 14) has a lead article on viagra and an accompanying editorial. Take a look to see some peer reviewed information on what zona is attempting to compete with. Compare this information with anything in the literature on phentolamine and decide for yourself. brief summary: 69% of attempts at intercourse successful (that is different than erections) vs 22% with placebo, 5.9 times/month vs 1.5 with placebo; average/mean age of patients in late 50s, almost no effect on "sexual desire", surprisingly (to me) low effect- about 50% gain- on "intercourse satisfaction", the editorial is very positive
