Jon, in my opinion, you are way out in left field in stating you think merger may be off, when May 4 press release specifically states that it is on, and what steps may be taken with respect thereto. While you can speculate all you want, you are really poisoning the well with completely unjustified conclusions in light of the recent company statement, unless you are flat out stating that all the press releases since March 1998, including the one on May 4, are completely false and fraudulent. That is the only conclusion to make by your extreme speculation in the face of the public announcements.
Company could have found any number of ways out of deal by now, without the hoopla over new management, new technological support, continuing interest in merger, pending financials relating thereto, etc. While, again, it is a free country to say whatever you want, I think your suggestion demonstrates how hostile you are to these companies, and that you in fact may have an ulterior motive in continuing to monitor and post on this thread. |
