is how teevee put it. I think events of the last few days have begun to highlight that this is a very risky, unstable country. My own assessment is that I'll continue to own Freeport's preferred shares (FCX_pC) as long as they are discounted at least 25% to their indicated value. Right now the discount is about 30%. So far the only unrest (at least on CNN) is in the big cities, which aren't all that relevant to Freeport's mining operations. If the unrest spreads to the outer islands, big trouble. Watch closely for developments and hope this blows over.
