Anyone else out there ever purchase a stock, assuming it's marginable, only to find out that it's NOT?

I think AMTD should have some signals in place so when you do purchase a securtiy, if it's not marginable a flag would pop up to inform the client of it's status. If they were really ambitious, the flag would be visable every time you view your account positions.

I mentioned it to a customer Rep, as well as to the margin accounts Dept, but haven't heard or seen any news on the subject.
