Clayton... did you answer my question? I'll repeat it. "..I wonder how many of the Indian originated "nationalists" here on this discussion group have ever spent any time let alone months and months like I have in Indian villages living on a village economy. Few. Pitifully few becasue they would see that the "new" India standing proud over the nuclear fires is something the country can't afford. Doesn't need. And will launch them (the Indian nationalists) on a road that a certain point it will be exceedingly difficult to turn back from".

Why do Indians always bring in the tiresome business of American deficiences to rationalize India's "moral superiority" over the US.

Re yours, "I do see poverty, crime, drugs etc in the US. Does that mean that we should stop spending the hundreds of billions we spend on Military, foreign-aid etc and divert that money to eliminate those problems".

Right. I am certain this is a clear cut choice too.

I am sure that now that India has the nuclear capability to get Ladakh back from the Chinese, at least that part China claims, everything in India will turn into a garden.

... I am equally sure that when extremist groups in Indai seize India's nuclear weapons, as the country becomes more and more unstable, that good things will come of this attitude "standing proud" with our nuclear capability.

Let me asky you a simple question since Independence has India become more socially stable or less socially stable?

A simple question.

To this equation add hydrogen bombs.
