I wouldn't read too much into the recent ruling. The courts are reluctant to stop a product unless the case is a slam-dunk. I do not think this is true here. Remember that the ruling was just whether to block the shipment of Windows 98 based on similarity to the Windows 95 situation. We have not actually had final ruling on Windows 95, so I am not surprised. However, remember that the initial ruling was that MS had to remove the browser from Windows 95 and the appeals are still going on over the definition of product, how much has to be removed, and several other small issues. Judges are loath to stop shipment of a new product when existing ones are still shipping with the same situations. Mark
