I sent the following e-mail to Mr. Clarkson...he responded to me email within hours. I think his insight is extremely valuable...Ross, Thanks for reinstalling confidence in my investment with TGLEF. Enjoy...but before you move on - Alan, my last name is WEIS not WEISS. <<Signifies him talking>> <<Dear Mr. Weis:>> <<Regarding your questions,>> Any explanation in recent down trend in stock price? I am somewhat baffled since we are on the brink of a major project (S-1). Anyone selling would be clear taking a loss since we are near 52 week record lows. Why would anyone be selling at this time? <<I am also at a loss as to the selling pressure. We have excellent projects, a proven success record and some very positive press. The main sentiment I am getting is that TGL will not be drilling until first Qtr 1999 so why not sell and get back in the stock in Dec. 1998. In addition the oil sector is extremely weak at this time with most companies cutting budgets and reporting lower revenues.>> Is management selling any shares at this point? <<No! Actually my wife and I both purchased shares during the past 30 days as reported in my insider reports. No one in management is selling.>> Any remedies or fixes to bring the share price above 1.25 to keep listed on Nasdaq? (Pardon my ignorance it maybe $1.00) What time frame is left before delisting? <<The price target set by NASDAQ is $1.00. The NASDAQ has not notified us as yet. If they do notify us then we have 90 days to get the price above $1.00 or else they will move TGLEF to the bulletin board (not delist). >> Is a reverse stock split being considered at this time? <<That is an issue that cannot be decided by management. It must be put to a shareholder vote.>> Or what measures are being considered to bring stock price up and to restore shareholder value? <<As I mentioned the Company has a PR firm and has received several positive write ups in the papers and also in the Lehman Bros. research on VPI. We are continuing to target the news media as well as VPI followers. In the end shareholder value will only be increased by oil discoveries and increasing revenues.>> Trans-Globe is listed on several exchanges. Is being listed on the Nasdaq a long-term goal and objective? <<Yes, however the TSE listing has always been a long term goal also.>> What is time table for S-1? The recent news on Lehman Brothers suggested that there is a ratification process and approval process left for S-1 in Yemen. Any insight on outlook? <<The ratification by the Yemen parliament is underway. Our agent informs us that it should be done in the next few weeks.>> I read the Annual Report cover to cover and their was rhetoric on expansion and exploration. Are their any other projects being considered at this time? Or are we facing the proverbial "put all your eggs in one basket" - that being S-1? The reason I am asking is because the return on investment, assuming S-1 materializes, will not be realized until year 2000 or later. <<The Company has an interest in Block 32 in Yemen which could attain production as early as the 4th Qtr of 1999. In addition we have production in New Mexico, Texas and Montana and plans for additional drilling in Montana and North Dakota. Our eggs are in several baskets.>> Positive cash flow is the name of the game for small-medium sized business and capital intensive companies. <<I agree.>> <<Ross Clarkson>>
