It seems to me that if an event occurs that significantly impacts your companies valuation, positive or negative, management has a fiscal responsibility to comment as to its truth or falsehood. In its absence the silence says much. In this case the positive affect of this event and the absence of denial commits management to much of its validity. Otherwise significant liability accrues to management in allowing it to continue. IMO
