CNBC just reported MS is meeting with govt lawyers right now to talk about settling the case before taxpayers loses more money.
My guess is it would be settled, just look at what the govt is asking, basicly nothing! (1)Revise contracts with PC makers, ISPs,and content providers, DONE, it was done two months ago. (2)"first page" view, insignificant, idiotic, DONE.
It is important to let the govt lawyers WIN, throw them a bone so they have something to chew on and you don't want to make them appear to lose, now the news may be "MS gave in to govt demand, AGs and DOJ gratified, but will consider future action if ..........."
