Broadband Associates, the creator and wholesale provider of the M.Show service, has made M.Show
available to Gentner through a reseller agreement. Broadband manages the M.Show server network
worldwide and works closely with its wholesale service providers to manage the consistency and
quality of the overall multimedia experience.
Because Internet-based audio is still an underdeveloped technology solution, many business people still
prefer to use the telephone network for the audio portion of their Web-based multimedia presentations.
Gentner provides audio for Internet-based multimedia applications through its products and conference
calling service, which allows from two to several thousand individuals to be conferenced simultaneously
from anywhere in the world. This can occur as a stand-alone audio conference, or integrated into
another application such as M.Show multimedia Internet-based presentations.
M.Show, a new kind of streamlined service that allows business users to present customized, live,
interactive multimedia presentations to dispersed global audiences, delivers visuals in the form of text,
graphics, animation and video via the Internet and corporate Intranet. The audio portion of the
presentation is delivered in parallel -- via Gentner's 1-800-LETS MEET(TM) conference calling
service to each participant's desktop.
These two components -- visual and audio -- are coordinated to produce a seamless multimedia sales,
marketing, investor relations or training presentation.
M.Show's simplicity is the service's most compelling benefit. Audience members merely need a PC,
standard browser, Internet connection, and a telephone -- tools available to most business users today.
No additional investment in software, equipment or training is required.
