NEWS RELEASE May 12, 1998

UPDATE ON ZIMBABWE PROJECT

At the request of the Montreal Exchange, NAR Resources Ltd. reports that it is unaware of any material change that would account for the recent price increase and activity in the market over the last few days. The work program announced on January 12th, 1998 and commenced on March 9th, 1998, is currently on-going.

The Company is anticipating a detailed report from the operator Falconbridge and will announce the results and recommendations for further expansion of the current exploration program.
