Jack: Not to flog an expired equine, since you're one of the best informed in this forum and I always enjoy and value your comments, but these guys simply aren't in the SCM consulting business. The Oracle blurb is standard marketing stuff from a systems integrator, and takes advantage of the nebulous definition of SCM...as you well know, don't believe everything you read! <g>...these guys specialize in plant floor control & automation at present. I've been encouraging them to get into the upmarket(specifically, the Manufacturing Execution System/MES area), but their progress has been slow to date, with good reason, that being a well-directed focus on the Y2K effort. In fact, a couple of the most MES knowledgeable folks at TAVA have been "eyeball deep" in the development of the Plant Y2K One and associated products...I'd love to see them really put an emphasis into the MES space first, then move into the SCM area...doing plant floor automation is a commodity business with low margins, and they're much better positioned than almost any systems integrator in the country to service the MES segment.
