From the press release: "EchoStar continued to experience strong DISH Network subscriber growth during the first quarter of 1998, adding 162,000 net subscribers for a cumulative total of 1.2 million subscribers." "DISH Network revenues totaled $135 million during the first quarter, an increase of $78 million compared to the same period in 1997." No offense but I believe you didn't read the press release carefully. It is my understanding that the sattelite services relates to the 10'- 14' dishs NOT the 18" dish. With 1.2 million DISH network subs the average monthly revenue per sub is $37.50 ($135,000,000/3 months/1,200,000 subs). This is good because it show subs being willing to pay for the premium stations which have a higher margin. I assume the revenue from the equipment sales are included but it would be offset somewhat by monthly program rebates and by using the 1.2 million subs instead of a weighted average for the 3 month period.
