While we may be speculating what these "major concessions" are, one issue is now perfectly clear. MSFT, going forward, will be under total scrutiny. Having been burnt once, I doubted if the DOJ will agree to another consent decree which MSFT can weasel out of later.

Now the question is, without its monopolistic power, can MSFT maintain its growth rate, and more importantly, its industry leading profit margins? What happens to MSFT's very lofty valuation?
