Yes .. that is the problem. I would think a complete rewrite of win98 would be required

If that is the case, then I think DOJ should definitely try to block the release of W98. MSFT is trying to take away my freedom of choice every day so that we will all be slaves to their products. Many on this thread obvious are very happy to be just that.

During the past few months, MSFT have tried to force me to switch to IE twice. First time, when I tried to use Expedia, the MSN travel site, Netscape cannot be used on some of the features. So I say go to hell and don't use the site.

For my NASD Level II feed, MSFT forced the provider to force the user to download and install IE before my service can be activated. After I wasted time and disk space, I went back to Netscape and it worked fine. There is nothing more than MSFT flexing its monopolistic muscle to take away users' freedom of choice.

Now I am upset. DOJ, if you are reading this, go nail Bill Gates.
