If you read the CNN story it says that the low price of Microsoft Office is a predatory act. All I can say is if lower prices to consumers is seen as anti-competitive then I surely don't understand the antitrust laws. Microsoft is the #1 seller of productivity apps and is selling this at a low price while still making very good money so the price is not below cost in fact it allows them to make a good profit so why would this be predatory - because other companies are not as effecient? competitive? All I can say is I think I may need to get used to higher prices in software thanks to the Federal Gov't and the state AG's. What a great solution.
