Let us see it this way:
The have to accept a devalueing ruble, even if the government
and the companies have a lot of debt in foreign currencies.
They can not prevent it!

One year ago the central bank had about $24 bill. and now only
$16 bill. are left, even after raising the interest rates from
%29 to %42 to get some foreign currencies. Flop!
They are not able to support the ruble for a long time.

Now let us hope that Russia has learned something of the asia
crisis. But unfortunately I guess they have not.....
Maybe now it is time for the other countries in the world to
help Russia not to repeat the same story again.

Maybe this time Sorros will not short the ruble, because he has
a lot of stocks in Russia.
