I don't trust the motives of people who use catch phrases like 'helping the poor', 'One radio per village ' in Africa. All that type of nonsense. I just about threw up What, you don't think there's money to be made selling a valuable service to poor people? Just because a group of people will buy the radio rather than an individual, does not mean you cannot sell a lot of them-- especially where there are a lot of villages out of range of radio stations. This is what a lot of sat telephony companies are betting on. And, I don't see how it precludes selling lots of radios and service to wealthy africans. Dragonfly
