Still waiting for my Livetrade application to arrive.

Still researching between CyBer, MB, and Livetrade. My primary consideration when selecting a broker is their financial depth. Will they be around in a year in the face of continuing competition? How about if the market takes a tumble? Yes, you're SIPC insured but do you want to face the possibility of going through months of paperwork to get your money back if for whatever reason the broker you select is forced to close its doors suddenly? Call me old-fashioned, but before I send a check for a large sum of money to someone I'd like to have confidence that they'll be around for a while.

From what I've seen so far MB seems better capitalized than CyBer. Still don't know who is behind Livetrade or how deep their pockets are. I agree they seem to have the most straightforward and competitive fee structure. Cool ads on CNBC too. :)
