Well, I guess if that's the case than the Celeron with 128k of on chip L2 cache (Mendocino core), due out September 13 (four months after K6-2), will also be faster than a regular Pentium II-300 with 512k of backside cache.

Do you really think Intel would sell it as their low cost chip if it were? I don't think Intel is THAT stupid.
