To all:
Here is a SEC article I found in the Houston Chronicle business section on Friday, November 18. This article should be of MAJOR importance to all investors that occasionally use the SEC EDGAR DATABASE to find out info regarding insider sales, 10Q's, 10K's and more information.
Here's the article
"SEC seeks proposals to overhaul Edgar"
"WASHINGTON - The Securities and Exchange Commission said Thursday it requested proposals for the overhaul of its electronic corporate document system, known as EDGAR. The EDGAR system, which began as a pilot program in 1984, was completely phased-in last May. The SEC said it wants proposals re-evaluating the current system and exploring further privatization of the program. Under recently passed federal legislation, the SEC is required to consider further privatization of EDGAR."
This sounds like lobbying to me!!!!!!
The big boys with money are getting upset because we are able to do better research then they are!!!!!!!!!
Here is the SEC response address via the internet. If you would wish to complain, feel free. I already have. To those that don't have the time, I will put a generic complaint at the bottom if you don't want to write yourself.

SPEAK UP to these buttheads. This is OUR MONEY at risk here. INFORMATION IS POWER IN THE NEXT decade and we must protect our interests from others seeking to gain from us.
Here is the complaint. Just copy and paste. It will take 30 seconds to those crunched for time.
response
I am protesting the further privatization of the EDGAR DATABASE. As a taxpaying citizen, my tax dollars have gone towards funding this project and I have benefited from it tremendously. I do not enjoy special interests trying to gain control of this PUBLIC service for their benefit. We, individual investors of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, are protesting such a decision from our government. Don't mess up a good thing!
I shall be pasting this message elsewhere to inform others of this horrible action committed by our government.
