Apple reports sales "if and when they want to." As far as I know, they have no schedule.

You are correct about the depth of the Wintel shakeout underway. It will get bloody before the end of the year.

Apple will weather the storm much better that you or the street expects. Management is well aware of the current inventory flux density. The channel is getting its cues through the Apple Store and gets timely information, though it does have a huge non Apple Store distribution to manage.

Apple is in the midst of remanufacturing its image. The new Apple is the better, faster, performance leader company. The "ooohs" and "aaas" computer company. Sales gains will suffer. But the drag down effect will be minimized by the level of differentiation in the market place.

The stock however, will suffer for awhile until the Wintel inventory glut is absorbed.

Good hunting,
HerbVic
