Evan, re BMR and TPI:

From an old TPI press release:

September 22, 1997 Transformation Processing Inc. First to Use and Market Bob Bemer's Revolutionary Vertex 2000 -- Year 2000 -- Software

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1997-- Transformation Processing Inc. (OTC BB:TPII), and BMR Software Inc. of Dallas, Texas have signed a Letter of Intent whereby TPI ''will license the Vertex 2000(TM) software product for Canada and the Commonwealth on an exclusive basis _ and the United States on a primarily protected basis.''

Vertex 2000 is the first ''new breed'' Year 2000 technology that architecturally approaches the problem in a dramatically different fashion than ''traditional'' Y2K technologies. Dubbed the ''silver-plated bullet'', Vertex 2000 addresses and solves the problem at the most fundamental level - the object or machine code level, rather than attempting to change source code in a wide-range of computer languages which require thousands of individual solutions at a higher level.

From talking to people knowledgeable with BMR's requirements to obtain a license to use Vertex 2000, I'm told the licensee needs to first establish two beta test sites (i.e. get two companies to allow said vendor to use Vertex to remediate their code). How far along TPII is in this process, and whether they have a different arrangement with BMR is something I'll let those who talk to TPI on a regular basis comment.

Hope that helps!

- Jeff
