Why not disable the L1 cache as well and see which one is faster? AMD gets most of their performance from a larger L1 cache, not a good design

Elmer,

If you want a level playing field, why not disable Slot 1 and see which one runs faster on Socket 7. Oh, why not allow competitors to use Slot 1 and see which one is faster. PII gets most of the performance from newer chipsets only available through Slot 1. If compeitors can reach the level of performance using older infarstures, Intel must have poor designs.
