Hi Daniel,

Is "BW" Business Week?

If Cutler stole some VMS, why didn't DEC sue? DEC worked closely with MSFT instead.

Getting back to original things... how about the fact the Microsoft was the first major pc house to run good beta test programs?

how about the idea of low-cost, high-volume, professionally supported software?

hellbender, close combat, aoe... close combat in particular is groundbreaking in the game field, but aoe is a major smash hit with its own awesome playability

how about the simple fact of having a command line available inside of a graphical environment?... was/is this easy to get to on a mac?

let's face it... windows combines the best elements of unix and mac...

also, how about all of the products which they purchase... and continually make better... VB, softimage, frontpage... on and on...

you know.. there was this cool thing called GEOS... too bad they didn't give out APIs.... someone might have written some apps for it....

as for the lawyer game... i think the techs and engineers at all companies both cringe at and watch in amazement, these various legal circuses we see the front offices of these corporations engaging in.

...why can't everyone just get to work?

FWIW
Andy
