Here's an interesting experiment for Silicon Investor Fans. Try a comparison chart of Intel (INTC), Altera (ALTR) and 3COM (COMS). The result is that 3COM is your best bet! The other two are not chopped liver by any means, but in the short and intermediate term, COMS is better. Try it yourself against other firms as well!
