However, while the search engines are a viable business; I see specialized channels that people go directly to via bookmarks (such as SI, sportsline, CBS Marketwatch, etc.). Fewer folks need to go through the search portals to find their destination. They have found a lot of what they want and become aware of new sites via word of "e-mouth" or links on sites that they already frequent. Thus the search engine traffic fall-off. For growth to continue, they need new hooks to attract viewers IMO.
