Not that I think Microsoft will ever agree to it in a million years, but one interesting link to an audio clip says:

John Haven Chapman, a former trial attorney at the Justice Department, said the break-up of Microsoft may have been one of the options under consideration in the settlement talks.

Again, I think Microsoft would never agree to a breakup in a million years, so I'm not getting too excited over this little rumor. But, you never know.
