Gregor, interestingly, the amount of money on my credit card is probably the amount I haven't tithed for the last month for no particualr reason except inattention. But it is very interesting, as my cards were all cleared off. Must do something about that.

On Pompeii, which I mentioned on our prayer thread, and don't want to do too much chatting there of historical nature.

Pompeii I thought was very ancient. It was 79 AD. Under Nero's rule. At the height of human depravity as in the days of Gormorrah.
Tonight TLC had a documentary on Pompeii. It was the most filthy and depraved of all cities. IT of all the Roman pagan cities was apparently the most demented and perverted in the empire. I cannot and will not go into detail. Nor is it edifying to look up. But I didn't know these things. It WAS Sodom, it was Gohmorrah. And God finally had enough and one morning buried them all under fire and ash once again, and I can only tell you it was good riddance to the rest of the world. What a filthy hell hole Pompeii was, and perverted sex with everything was the norm.

What does this mean? Whatever it's supposed to. All I know is it was a georgeous city on the Mediterannean and it was sunny and prosperous and known ot the whole world and people were caught in an instant still holding possessions they were using or food they were eating.

Anyway, my growing apprehension that all is not as well as we would believe is perhaps well founded. We'll all see. Even so, prayer time increased is time well spent.

I'm off to dreamland,, and shutting down SI for the night.
