Re:ATHM

May I ask what the cost for the installation, hardware and service runs? Locally we do not have cable available. USWest is advertising the asynch copperwire service (5+ times faster than 56K access?) but when I called I found it cost $505 for installation and modem, $40 a month for access and $19.95 a month for USWest as my ISP (which I would have to use since I don't know of any ISPs set up to receive at anything better than 56K just yet) plus I would have to buy an Ethernet card. Despite the advertising, it isn't available yet where I am but I still think I would balk at that price.

speed is incredible; about 700% faster than 28k modem. >

Only 7 times faster? Do you mean 7,000%?
