I hear ya! I've got a technical question for you about MB Trading. I've sometimes had large positions (c. 5,000) in those stocks but don't know what's the best way to unload them quickly if I have to, without sending everyone else to the exits. Plus, in a panic, limit orders are useless - it just goes too fast. I heard from people at MB that 1,000 shares is the max for market orders. Is it possible then to, say, simultaneously enter MKT orders to sell 1,000 on ARCA, ISLD, SN and SOES, or is that out of the question? I asked about INCA(Instinet, for those who haven't heard of it), which has the advantage of not letting everyone in on your plans to liquidate, but you have to call, and I'm concerned it might take too long to execute, or that they might not execute at all. And can you just sell MKT on INCA or do you have to use LMT there, too? I'd really appreciate any insights you have on this, and also on what routes you've been using on CFON, XYBR, etc. Thanks a lot.
And I've heard about Cooper's book and it's on order. I just spent $300 on a whole stack of trading books, the only problem being I couldn't find any really up-to-date covering the kinds of software we're using these days. Know of any? |
