Banc One, CheckFree Set Deal for On-Line Banking
Banc One Corp., Columbus, Ohio, is teaming up with CheckFree Holdings Corp. and the Integrion Financial Network to launch an Internet-based electronic-banking service that allows customers to receive and pay bills on-line. The service, to be announced Friday, will let Banc One customers receive and pay bills through the Internet from any company that submits the through CheckFree, a large Atlanta-based provider of electronic-commerce services. Banc One, which plans to start the service later this year, will use Integrion's computer network to hook up to Banc One's existing on-line bill-payment systems. Integrion, which is jointly owned by a number of firms, provides on-line banking services. |
