Like Mr. Roosevelt, I too enjoy killing animals with guns. What is wrong with that? We have removed the natural predators of say, the deer. If we don't shoot them, they will starve to death anyway. Hunting in much more humane. I happen to own 5 guns and I'm just 19! Does that sound like Ted "Gun Control" Kennedy? Actually, the Brady Bill is fine with me, I just don't see why we can't have an instant check instead of limiting everyone to a certain amount of guns in a certain time and waiting a week just to get the freakin' thing. Just my opinion....
The problem with our criminal justice system is that the prosecution DID find O.J. guilty -- it's just that the jury was dumb as shit! Why must the jury be all black and all uneducated?! How can you explain DNA findings to people who never made it to high school Biology to know what the hell it is?
Reagan's deficit would still have been higher than Clinton's if he got his way on every piece of legislation. It's true. It wouldn't have been AS HIGH, but it wouldn't have been anywhere near balanced either!
Bush was a better President than Reagan or Clinton (maybe -- but one thing I know, Bush AND Clinton better than Reagan), but he didn't get very far with the budget either! Congress was more liberal under Bush though, you can't fault him for that!
My charging you with being of typical business ideology is right on the money from your postings. However, I'm not sure what makes you think I am a radical environmentalist. I despise vegetarians, I don't even like the Green Party very much. What gives?
The fact is, there are no ideologies when it comes to the environment. It should be the one thing we can all agree on. Our water needs to be cleaner than it is now, not less clean. The Industrial Age has done a lot of irreversible damage to this planet, and we need to set it right.
As for your car remark, of course I do, but I also helped engineer the world's best electric car in my half-a-day Governor's School during high school. It is my personal (you'll call me a liberal again) that we should tax fossil fuels to show their real value to the country.
As for "the GOP buying votes," I guess I wouldn't use the word "buying" again. You're right, it is more like the polluters buying GOP votes. Either way, neither is moral.
If you like PACs controlling your life, go ahead, join the GOP or the Dems. They're all the same to me and TR. Like TR, I was once a Republican. Like TR, I saw the light and will live a better life for it.
If I can put an end to your and Bill's status quo, I will. That is why I am forming Virginia state's first College Reform Party Club.
