SKYC has been very quiet about its Digital Radio plans. I'm not sure why. I believe they said they will be marketing the entire company later this year.
Regarding SKYC's plans, they service many national trucking firms for their via their data/voice services. This will give them a prime initial market to sell to.
Regarding CDRD, it does appear that they are making a lot of good moves. The million dollar question, of course, is how many people will sign up. This speculation should drive both of these stocks higher, IMO, as the launch dates near since a commercial success for Digital Radio would mean really big dollars for both companies.
If CDRD breaks even in the first year, that would be incredible. I hope so.
SKYC will be launching in 2000, so CDRD is expected to beat SKYC to market. However, SKYC management is aggressive, so it will be interesting to see how things play out. We should have a better idea, as I said, later in the year as to exactly what SKYC's strategy will be.
Let's keep each other up to date as to what each company is doing !
CDRD: $ 33.12b $ 33.50a SKYC: $ 11.63b $ 11.88a
