In regards to "Sire's Desires" to post success stories -- my goodness I hope that there will be some success stories! But citing success stories is of no value, and possibly detrimental.

I recently saw a letter from a bank president to his customers (anonymous, but one day I'll post the letter) claiming that the Y2K issue reminded him of the child's story "Henny Penny" in which the protagonist ran around claiming that the "sky was falling"!

The best analogy is that of a disease or epidemic. We're afraid that a disease (Y2K) is going to sicken (disrupt) a significant segment of the population. Citing individuals who are not sick does not lessen the threat of the epidemic nor make it go away...
