brent i connect right through the internet. i use aol and ameritech as my servers. when using aol i do not get knocked off like i would if not using livetrade. i have also not had any problems uning ameritech. as for other ways of connecting, i really don't know. i never asked. i am not familiar with MBlite, but i think it is the full version. you can get a demo at their homepage. www.livetrade.com if you have any questions, i usually talk to gary at 1-800-942-9018 he is very friendly and has been extremely helpful. steve
