It made the Dow... Digital Video/Hyundai Elec -2: To Form DVS Korea Co. Unit 05/14/98 Dow Jones News Service (Copyright (c) 1998, Dow Jones & Company, Inc.) LOS GATOS, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Digital Video Systems Inc. (DVID) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hyundai Electronics Industries Co.'s DVD -ROM technology assets for an undisclosed amount of stock and cash. In a press release Thursday, Digital Video Systems said DVD -ROM technology provides more storage capacity than CD-ROM. Hyundai Electronics' Senior Executive Sung Hee Lee will become managing director of DVS Korea Co., a unit currently being formed.
