Davef, I value your feedback. I applaud you, as you are a man after my own heart who does his research, and speaks his mind. I hope I don't look like I'm playing dumb, I genuinely want to find out who makes money on merger arbitrage and this looks like the right thread to do so. I have been reading these posts for a week now and realised that people take sides quick (ie yours or Mr Pink's) and get vicious (but amusing) abuse thrown at them. I also quickly learned that the more you sympathise with either side, the less investment advice you get. I want to be a neutral guy getting objective advice, hence the open letters I have posted. Davef, I hope to make good money from any tips you provide and wish you luck with your investments.
