<<In the past Dell has been able to move relatively unnoticed. Now the big three has DELL lined up in the crosshairs.>>
Eddie, this is a ridiculous statement.
Go back and read the thread during March/April for the answer.
If you are unwilling, just think about this: If you think CPQ's, HP's, and IBM's are JUST starting to notice Dell, and JUST starting to react to Dell, you are essentially admitting that CPQ, HP, and IBM have incompetent management. (for having waited so long to react to some clear trends). I know you don't mean that. On second thought.....
Whose direct model have they (CPQ. HP, IBM) been (unsuccessfully) trying to move towards? Micron's? Gateway's? I don't think so..... As you should know, they all announced this (in grand fashion) last summer, but all had been thinking about it much longer.....
Either you haven't done your homework on this, or yours was a slip of the tongue...you are allowed to say the latter...
BTW: I saw Lew Platt from HP on CNBC.....was not an impressive performance....... |
