To All: China is doing a splendid job. And, contrary to what some may say, they have few issues to deal with. But, what issues they are dealing with are present in huge portions. The right men are at the helm and are attempting to remain focused through what is present in large numbers -- distraction. Consider the following.
A recent report of Mr. Zhu Rongji's "plea" w/ investigators to be honest and diligent as they attempt to uncover corruption means a great deal to me. He "pleads!"
Here we have a person in Mr. Zhu who is, and has always, given his flat-out best to accomplish both what he and his political superiors feel are the tasks at hand. One need only read his bio to know what he and his compatriots have endured throughout China's recent history. (Note that I say know...have knowledge of, and not realize. How could I possibly realize something that's not been real for me?) Zhu is an element in the vanguard of China's new leadership. He, and they, MUST succeed. They are confident they CAN succeed. Though they also know that the rampant corruption must be expunged now,...or they will fail. Very simple. And Mr. Jiang is facilitating their efforts very well.
Have no doubts though, that should Zhu and his staff fail, there is a minion of "told you so" hard-liners prepared to ride in and "save" the middle kingdom. Then the revolution begins. |
