Jim and all:

Strathmore announced taht it had entered into a letter on intent
to purchase 100 % interst in 130 claims in the Gidwell mineral
belt of San Rafael River Mining Area, Green River district, in
central Utah. Previously, the Utah Geological and Mineral Survey
(UGMS) estimated a potential for more than 8 million pounds of
Uranium 308 that could be produced by conventional mining.
The company believes that they may be able to prove up and mine more
than is estimated. the cost of this will be $75,000 u.s. in cash,
and C $115,000 in stock, and a 5 % royalty on uranium sales. This
announcement came out on Nov 11, 1996.

SMR is continuing to develop as a significant uranium play in the
U.S. The stock remains strong, and is on Bishop's current
best buy list.
