Yup. But only if someone buys the book.

They can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Fools are Amazon.com Associates, and have been since before AMZN was in their portfolio. What that means is that they receive a small portion of the profits for each book sold through such a link.

I'm sure Amazon has such deals with other online content providers too. Here's what the Fools had to say about it in their initial AMZN buy report:

AMZN also allows anyone on the Web to sell books through Amazon.com, and pays them a commission to do so. This allows for Web pages of any interest to link readers to books at Amazon on their topic of interest. The Web site operators are then paid a commission for the sales that result. This is one smart and "open" way that Amazon is using the Web in order to make it its home -- all of it.

Pretty slick, eh? Now you know why it seems like all the Fool's feature writers have just finished reading a good book that they are dying to tell you about. :)

<<.maybe I'm just paranoid>>

Why would that make you paranoid? The Fools do business with AOL too, and it's also in their portfolio. On the other hand, their business ties with AOL are a wee-bit more obvious....

So, what's your point? :)
