To all: According to biz.yahoo.com, "In addition to digital still and video cameras and camcorders, an OEM could use the CyberDisplay and MD 2901 (which is a generic frame buffer display controller with embedded DRAM) as the display and display controller for other consumer electronics such as cellular phones, smart card readers, portable games, and other devices requiring a high resolution, small format display.

The low cost and greatly reduced power requirements for the chipset and CyberDisplay are just what consumers have been looking for. The fast frame rate of the MD2901 allows for very fast updating to the display so that in a viewfinder mode the display is UPDATED IN REAL TIME. Also, the CyberDisplay gives the user a MUCH HIGHER resolution display for viewing images THAN the displays that are COMMONLY AVAILABLE TODAY.

The entire chipset will be available in PRODUCTION volume in SEPTEMBER 1998." [emphasis added]
