RE: You are plenty sloppy with your comments about stocks- DELL included. Estimates for DELL have been upped. There is no hint of that DELL will disappoint next week. So you are just fabricating opinions.

Jim,
DLJ in early march cut their number from 86 to 84 cents.
Evidently other firms upped their numbers, but I did not see those reports. Perhaps I was so focused on the negative that if I saw a positive I just dismissed it. I do not rely on YAHOO! for my information, though there are some good resources there.
I did go back and check this report from DLJ.

You are correct. There is no hint from DELL that DELL will disappoint next week.
I will add. There is no hint from DELL that DELL will beat numbers either.
Correct me if I am wrong, I don't believe that there was any sign from HWP that HWP would miss, until they missed.
If one payed close attention to what is going on in the PC arena, HWP's PC problems should come as no surprise. But it did.

I am not trying to "fabricat" anything.
DELL's stock is down the past 2 days for:
1) HWP grew PC units 70%, and lost money due to a colapse in corporate desk top pricing.
2) the NSM report is troubling as they are a supplier to DELL for components.
3) The TK report that knocked INTC, if you read it, it makes a tremendous amount of sense.
4) Profit taking, as the stock has run some 40% or so in 4 weeks.

I am only talking about these points. I happen to agree with the sellers of DELL today. I think caution is merrited going into the report.

I know a day like today can be frustrating for a long, and the bears seem to gather a little momentum. If you are correct, that momentum will be crushed soon.
If you believe you are right, my comments should not bother you, nor should they misdirect you.

I generaly try to avoid others opinions on stocks. I find they screw me up, cause me not to sleep, I have even sold a stock I liked because some one talked me out of it, It was a bad move.

I have just picked DELL because I think.....well you know.
When I see the stock go up, I just have to wonder.

I am a trader, I know the market is a zero sum game. If you think it is something different, you should study history a little more.

Now when I say the market is a zero sum game, I don't mean for each winner there is a looser. There are some stocks that go up and creat tremendous wealth. A larger percentage destroy that wealth in another way. Since 1994 this has not been the case, It will happen again.

Jim
