Darrell, DELL is no longer the low cost computer seller of comparable equipment from what I have seen. Additionally, like I said, I think the mkt is going to the low end. IMO DELL has made its first and most costly blunder by devoting itself to the high end only. At tleqst that is what they have claimed to be doing. check their last analyst meeting a few weeks ago. DELL needs to get into the sub 1000 mkt IMO, or they will get killed. Margins shouldn't be that great there either. PC business just doesn't look good to me L-T. Margins should continue to get squeezed. The DRAM and chip co's are seeing it now, it will float down the food chain to the box makers. They sell a commodity. No reason for these bloated valuations. I'm going out on a limb here, but this could be the beginning of the DELL blowoff, I've been looking for. Vol was HUGE today. best I've seen in months. Unfortunately, we were down 5. Not a good display for the bulls. Like I was saying a few days ago, heavy vol at the highs up here is suspect and indicates a top. DELL looks to have put in a top to me, but we'll need confirmation next week. Time will tell....
