If Bill had sold any stock subsequent to being informed of an SEC inquiry/investigation, I think we would already know what he was facing legally. He would be hamstrung by the Feds for insider-trading and fined 3x his gains or any loss avoided.

And it wouldn't have taken 12 months for them to make this case. Nevertheless, I believe BC mentioned that many of his and his wife's stock sales occurred in the summer/fall of 96. This was during the same time frame that it seemed many original private shareholders of GRNO were cashing in after having the stock publicly traded. The 144 filings are out there somewhere if folks want to look for them.
